Summer Dance Series for Adults – 2026 is here!

  • Who: Adults who want to dance! Hone your technique or learn something new.
  • When: Tuesday evenings from June – August, 6:00-8:30pm
  • What: Different levels and times to fit your needs! Ballet, Contemporary, Flamenco, Floor work, Jazz & Modern.
  • Where: Alvernia University’s Campus Commons Dance Studio.
    • 918 Laverna Drive, Reading, PA 19607
    • Second floor of the Fitness Center
  • Investment (Cost): Sliding Scale $10-20

Session 1: June 9, 16, & 23      Register Here

  • 6-7pm: Beginner Jazz with Jessica Warchal-King
  • 7:15-8:15pm: Intermediate/ Advanced Contemporary with Arielle Ridley

Session 2: June 30, July 7, & 14      Register Here

  • 6-7pm: Beginning Modern with Jessica Warchal-King
  • 7:15-8:15pm: Floor work with Megan Zalek

Session 3: July 21 & 28, August 4     Register Here

  • 6-7pm: Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable & Jessica Warchal-King
  • 7:15-8:15pm: Flamenco with Amanda Pena

FAQ’s

  • Do I have to register for both classes on the same day? Nope! Please register in advance for the class you want because space is limited.
  • Do I have to register for the whole session? Nope – come when you can! Please register in advance because space is limited.
  • Is there parking close? Yes – click here for a map of Alvernia. Lots F &G are closest to Campus Commons.
  • What should I wear? Be comfortable! And, it depends on the class you’re taking. Character shoes or a strong, heeled shoe are recommended for Flamenco. Socks, bare feet, or the shoe associated with the genre are okay for the other classes. Long pants and sleeves are recommended for Contemporary and Floor Work.
